Just the highlights..............
We definitely did the "tent stumble" Friday night as Mike decided he
needed to park his truck inside our tent frame until he was unpacked and
his stuff all set up including blowing up his air mattress. That made
for good entertainment. We didn't do any better as after he was done we
managed to set up our tent up inside out!! It was all good though and
appies were cooking shortly after for a late night snack.
One
of the best parts of the trip for me was waking up early Saturday to it
snowing and walking down to soak in the hot tub. The mountains packed
with fresh snow, the tubs to myself, and me wearing my full birthday suit
and snow swirling down.

The rest of the day was filled with hot tubs and appies, fire wood hunting,
and Tom trying some snow wheeling and stuck on some rock by camp.
Saturday a few other people showed up at the tubs. They were impressed
with the tent set-up but it's like I tell them I can't take credit for
it. Yes
it's my tent but this is a group effort and everyone has a hand in making
this a fun trip. It's just like camping in the summer, everyone pitches
in. From set up to take down the tent needs to be worked. The prep before
we leave, food purchase, setting up the tent, cooking, fire wood, cooking,
cleaning, cooking, lifting the beer one at a time, cooking, take the tent
down, packing the trailer, lifting more beer.
I knew it was time to go to bed on Saturday night when I was having a
hard time staying vertical! On the third fall it was time to call it a
night. The stove is next to the door in the tent and when we set up the
stove on the snow
it melted to the ground making a 4" drop that was getting progressively
harder to negotiate as the night wore on. I fell into the stove twice
and once at the tubs. The tub fall was even more embarrassing because
I was reaching into the change room to hang my housecoat and fell naked
backwards off the wooded walk way into a rocky cold puddle.
It snowed pretty much the entire time we were up at the tubs and because
it was a wet snow there was a bit of concern on the road out. People that
had chains used them. I tried something a little different by using poly
rope wrapped around my rear tires and it seemed to do the trick.
Everyone had a great time and we were once again having fun in B.C.!
Until the next trip..................
