Towing with a Dodge 2500 with a 24" hitch receiver extender

Does anyone know if that is safe to do with the stock hitch? Or do I need to get a beefier after market hitch

As it was explained to me. If you tow with an extender hitch (which is not safe) and you do happen to have an accident due to the extender you will automatically be 100% at fault. Your best bet is to go to an RV or Trailer place and buy the correct hitch for your camper tailewr application. Yes you could save a few bucks but it could also cost you thousands if something was to go wrong.

I towed the heep and 5 loaded coolers and other shit on a car trailer to K town with one, cause the camper is to fucking long, and never had any problems. Just make sure your weight is properly set on the trailer and you'll be fine.

I had the same issue and diddn't like the idea of a hitch extension so I cut the tounge off the trailer and welded on a longer one....
