Talking New MTR's !!!

As you know I rave about Goodtear Mtr's... (shut up bogger guys..)

I have run 2 sets of 35" and and on my 2nd set of 37", which means I have been running them for about 9 years.

I have NEVER blown a bead, (I air down to 6psi sometimes) and have NEVER riped a sidewall. (KNOCK ON WOOD !!)

I have only punctured 2 out of 16 tires.
I will admit that they are very expensive other than that they have been an all around great tire. (not as good as a bogger in the mud, but its not a dedicated mud tire)

When I was down at Jeap Thrills specking out my lift for the Luxo-cruser last week, Bryson had a new Goodyear MTR in the show room...
Wow what an interesting tire tread pattern.

I am going to install these on the Luxo-cruser as it will be a daily driver and needs to perform off road exceptionally well. I will probably up grade the 82when I ware out the 37" that I bought a year and a half ago.

I tried to find a good picture of the new tread pattern, its quite unique and I believe it will be a good west cost tire...

I've never run the mtr's but I've read lots of reviews about them - all raving about these tires! These are the top choice for my next boots. I've run lots of Goodyear road tires and have had awesome results. Ya, there not boggers, but I'm betting they're just as good in everything but soup and maybe really jagged rocks. Also, they virtually have to be better than boggers on off-camber stuff... boggers love to slide sideways (unless you groove them).

Not too fond of the tread pattern, I prefer the old style, could be just that it's something new. I do however like the changes to the sidewall though. Wish I had yer luck with tires Dirka, I punctured my sidewall a few months after mounting them. I found it ironic it was right beside the badge that said durawall technology puncture resistant.

How do the new style compare in price?

looks too much like the baja claw in the way the tread lines up almost like a directional tire...the old ones are way better!
