I found it and man was it a pain to remove.... the ashtray bracket is also attached to the main wiring harness for extra fun. to fit the CB I just need to clearance the fake wood dash a little bit for the dials on the CB. I worked it out so that the CB display and controllers are going to go through the middle section where the main bit of the AM radio was, the mic through one of the knob holes, and the front mount speaker behind the other knob hole. When i get home from school today depending on the time i am going to try to get it full in and some pictures up

So i might have some time tomorrow to reinforce the back and take of the top and maybe get the CB in. I figured out I can get 20ft of 3/4" steel conduit for 15 bucks. I might not have time cause my cellphone stopped working and I am thinking of going to telus to see if they will fix it.

I got the back almost fully braced up. This Sunday i should be able to finish the bracing and get the top off, cut off the rest of the rust and get it measured up for some replacement metal. Things have been going kinda slow cause my Engineering class is making a soap box car which will be crazy once it is done, i will post some pics up.

I got the roof off today finally.

The passenger side was in pretty good shape under the top and the driver side wasn't as bad as i expected it to be
Sorry about the crappy pics but my camera doesn't like working with my computer anymore so i am now using my Cellphone to get pictures. I am going to try to get some metal to patch up the side this week if i have some time.

School is done for the summer and all of my finals are done. So it is time to pull off the tarp and finish off fixing the back of it, cut the last fender, properly mount the seat, get all the body mounts in and properly on and bedline the interiorer. I picked up the metal I need to patch up the rear driverside today.

I also finished off the soap box car I was doing with my school here are some of the pictures of it

And after it crashed going 50 km/h

Remove control? do you mean remote control? If so then no there is actually a driver in it controlling it. There is 3 cameras, which you can switch between, and it crashed because some dumb kid walked out infront of it causing our driver to swerve. I drove it when it was going slower and it is pretty sweet because it is just like some crazy video game.

And you see using 3 cameras that are hooked up to VR goggles you wear when you drive. On each of the stearing bars is a momentary switch thats lets you switch between the 3 cameras

so the disorientation and lack of DP of the VR goggles to blame for the crash?

no, some dumb kid stepped out about 5 feet infront of the car, causing the driver to swerve outta the way. This was after the driver had about 10 runs and got used to the goggles, it does not take much time to get used to it.

Here are some pictures of under the lid

The sub and pyrotechnics

The wiring before it was cleaned up, and after that is the terminal block with all of the video feed going through it.... nice and simple it only took me 2 hours to draw up the wiring diagrams for it... it worked first time it was all wired in though.

I put a build thread for this car in the custom fab or anything cool section since this has nothing to do with my scout or cornbinder in general....
