xj transfer case linkage

Just installed a 231 with tera 2lo in place of my np242 and would really like a more possitive t case shift. Someone from the states recommended replacing whats there with 7/16ths threaded rods and 7/16ths female rod ends (heims) problem is I cant find a source for them. Anyone recommend anything else to tighten things up a bit? I'm more of a do it yourselfer and I know about the novak option. thanks!

whats your plan for the part that goes across from the body to the trani? that bushing is always the first to get worn out. ive gone through three bushings in there.

That bushing it good in mine. I kept wearing them out when I had bad motor and tranny mounts combined with a transfer case drop. Been good since the sye and taking the drop out, and more bombproof mounts. Heres what I came up with. Nice and tight, positive feel, not chunky and loose like the stock setup

pics kinda suck, sorry, there is another way to do this by using a chevy s-10 231 t-case selector tab (almost exactly backwards) and using just one rod and your pattern stays the same.

what size joints are those, 1/2" ? i guess i gota do a little work for the truck. the linkage i got in the wifes comanche doesnt have problems yet so ill leave it. i think my biggest issue was probbally the fact that the trani mount has been bent a couple times.
