Your fuel economy reading

There was talk in the other post about fuel economy. What I would like to know is what does your computer read.

I have a stock 2006 Dodge long box with 33 tires on.

I am getting 14L/100km

the comp is bullshit ... everyone will tell you that ...

have you corrected the speedo to get a true speed rating and km's ?

once you know how far you can go on a tank u simply do a km per liter equasion to learn your correct km's per liter and know your milage

What i do to get my mpg is i reset trip meter, fill tank to full drive around for however long, then when i refill the tank, see how many L the gas pump put in...take km's divide that by liters and voila.

My 02 cummins 6spd with a 4"NADP exaust and stock everything else was getting 10.3L/100km but I'll have to recalculate that now, just put bigger injectors in and a new modified injection pump, and holy power difference.

Whats fuel economy ??
I have two trucks, a car, lawnmowers, chainsaws, propane bbq, tiger torch, white gas stoves and all kinds of other fun gas powered stuff...
If you want to save the planet take the bus and put up some solar panels or dirve a smart car (aka a ping pong ball if you get hit by someone in a full size diesel).

Just my 2cents.

It's generally taken directly from the amount of vacuum off the manifold. BMW actually has a vacuum gauge reworded to show mpg.(read that somewhere about the bmw)
