thats only on manuals.

just make sure you put 5.1 quarts in it.. originally they took 3.6. the hole was .97" too low.

thanks pathy, you seem to know quite abit about pathfinders.... i got a 90 2 door, will the earlier 2 doors parts swap to a 90? i was thinking about getting a 88 2 door for spare parts, windows, doors, interior.... not thinking of engine parts.... will they swap?

yes all 2 doors were the same..

HOWEVER, a 90 2 door is as rare as my 86.5.. they were left over.

Does it have throttle body injection or MPFI?
I'm not sure on the 90's because 90 2 door is VERY rare.

you could convert it to a manual, I did my old 92 pathy and it was alot of fun, all the bolt holes are already there for the pedal, master cyl etc. and you get a nice little anti-theft system with the neutral safety switch, when you leave your truck you can put the switch in drive and nobody will figure it out, cause its a standard
