2004 Dakota

So I'm throwing around the idea of picking up an 04 Dakota, 4.7L 4x4, quad cab. Any thoughts on this? Heard any problems about them?

I'd really ask around and get some accurate mileage ratings for it. What i'm getting at is you might be able to pick up a full size for the same price and get similar mileage.

The only thing I've ever heard good or bad about the Dakotas is piss-poor mileage.

You probably could get a fullsize with the same mileage..

i get around 16mpg on my 2001 dakota. 4.7L extended cab with 33's and 3.55s. this is about 70/30 city/highway mileage.

i haven't really had any major problems with it, well, other than the front balljoints, powersteering pump leaking, and the limited slip that was blown up. All were underwarranty so it was no issue for me.
