FYI

The Toxic Management/Emergency Response Officer (has seen the thread on bc4x4) and he said they will hire someone to go out there and recover the vehicle. He applauds the efforts made to extract the vehicle but would appreciate it if the extraction was left to their contractor due to the danger involved.

It is a guys son that I work with (whats the fricken chance) hes signing up to bc4x4 right now. He is concerned and wants to deal with it. I was told he never knew about the 4x4 sites and didn't have a clue how to get it out since he doesn't have any other buddys with big trucks and winches.

Well that's good to hear that he's stepping up to the plate. I'm sure that there's plenty of guys willing to help him with the recovery. I'll let them all know.

And the Jeep is out.

What day!

My co-pilot's pictures:

Some underwater shots:

We broke 3 winches, a few tree savers and a few straps; could have been worse.

An RCMP officer showed up at around 1pm and was impressed with what we were doing and how well we were getting the job done. He took the owners info, and wished us luck. Very nice guy. Trevor thanked him, got his card, and called him last night to let him know that the Jeep was out of the lake and loaded on a trailer for home.
