Hale Creek---something interesting

I was talking to Parks and Rec about Davis Lake and our planned Clean up. We talked about other 4x4 rec sites and they said they are talking about gating off Hale creek with a key program with the 4wheel drive association. Interesting but there is no way that is going to work.

Gee go figure. I called that when the 4wdabc first took over maintaining the place. I predicted a gate, and then the next thing you'll see is it'll turn into a pay site much like Cogburn on the east side. I really don't care about Cogburn as it's an any yahoo idiot with a car magnet in the summer, but Hale creek is a different story. It makes me sad

I personaly think key programs for organized wheeling groups is a great idea.
It keeps more of the idiots out but when the gates are put up the wheeling groups entrusted with keys should assist in the placement of gates to give some insight on how to keep unwanted people out.
Otherwise theres just another way around and the place gets shut down for all

Going to have to disagree here, the are making it sound good to ya---that's it,that's all...

We have free right to there when we please and when we want and do what we want.Do ya think that if we had a key, that a event like the spudspudspudspudspud run would ever happen ....It gives them control over the area, they want to know who's going and who's coming.....

Fuk-em I clean up before and after I get somwhere,I dont need a fuking key

If we keep cleaning up after us and do what we can,and if they put a gate up well,as Kev said, there is plenty of ways in there

Sounds like the beginning of the end. Once it has the gate who gives out the key? If that resposability eventually ends up with someone other than an open minded non biased person it'll be fukt. So let me and my group have a key for a weekend. Do you really think I wont get a copy of it. Does that mean another group can't use it that weekend? Alot of the time when you go to use the key it wont work cause someone was pissed off and fuct up the lock trying to get in or just being assholes. Them saying that there will be a key for people to use is just like saying I wont cum in your mouth, just what someone wants to hear so they'll do what you want.......... but you know what will happen in the end.
