Is plastic a good idea? I know the metal ones you put up seemed to do the trick with the odd exception, I'm just wondering if some fool would toss a plastic one in a fire to melt it.

For Stave: What about driving a pole into the ground at the entrances to the lake, and then mounting the bin on top? High enough up to not get run over, but low enough to deposit glass into.

((If I still have it)), I have a plastic 45 in Maple Ridge. Your welcome to it, I'll ask my pop if he's still got it lying about his place.
