any one chopped a sammy

hey just wondering if anyone
has chopped the cab top off a soft top sammy
and just put in a bare roll cage
kinda like a cj
i dunno like this but with a cage

You need the targa bar to attach the shoulder belts too.
that Jeep is old enough to not have belts or it may have lap belts.

i did, just unbolt the targa, and bolted the 5 point harness to the roll cage, no reason you couldn't

ok because i got my eye on a sammy that was flopped on the road and the windshild frame is bent and the targa so i was thinking chop and put a full cage

can't tell from that pic, need to see in the cab, or the air inlet to the heater.

looks like the one that pugfugly yota is sellin, i think it's a 87-8, it's got a 1.3 twin cam in it too, for 2g, WELL worth the money

it wouldn't be too hard and that thing is worth every penny it'll be easier to make something than find a good stock window frame

there is no such thing as a good stock windsheild frame anymore, they're all rusted out, or bent

i saw when buddy dropped it off at valley, couldn't get it started but told me $1500 would take it away.almost wish i would have bought that insted of using the money to get married........
