There's a mountain up Harrison on the East side that could do the same thing. Only on a much larger scale. An extremely large section of the mountain is unstable and they've said it is a possibility. Up to now it's been letting smaller slides go. If the whole section were to slide it could be devastating to alot of people, Harrison especially. I've got a picture of the mountain just after one of the slides. Pretty big. We went over it with the depth sounder in my uncles boat and the plunge pool was pretty impressive.

O.K. so these were taken a couple years ago with film. Had to scan them in. We went up to my uncles cabin on Harrison for a week and he told us to go check out the slide and told us about the mountain.

This one is the slide head on from quite a ways back so you don't really see the depth of it but can see the size of it.

This shot is from way down lake but you get a sense of the depth of the slide

Do you know where abouts on the east side? That would just fuck up the west side thats for sure. I'm not supried with all the over logging making the side weak

If I'm not mistaken that's Doctors Point sticking out in my second photo. If that's right it's approx 45 km up the lake by boat or 60km on Harrison West give or take. There's no roads going into this area on the slide side(east), I believe it's a smaller peak in front of Mnt. Breakenrridge. The good thing is there's no clear path right down the lake to Harrison Village but I wouldn't want to be there to see what kind of surge you'd get.
