sidekick

wondering what guys do when they swap toyota diffs into a sidekick because they already come with 5:13 and 5:29 are the lowest gears for toyota diffs, and im thinking of going with a 36-37 inch tire so ill need the low gears, and if there are any good sites to check out, thnx

That wont help in high range. This is definately one of the problems with lifting a sidekick and running toy diffs. The 5.29's only are fine with say around a 33 and less. But once you start going up in tire size that poor 1.6 can barely grab 4th.

The 2WD to sami t-case gives you overall gear reduction, and then with a gearset you can get even deeper high range. My range box gives me 18% more reduction in 2H, I was running 5.29's but couldnt get over 70km/h in 5th gear, now I run 4.10's in my diffs. Back to basically stock gearing on road, but nice and deep off road.
