Any boat regardless of size must be registered if your running a motor 10hp and above. Which is why manufactures made a 9.9hp. Anyone who owns a boat, it should be mandatory for them to take a Power Squadron course, and have a Marine License. Too many idiots on the water....

I just picked up a evinrude 8hp 2 stroke

should go pritty good...a 30 crossed my mind...maybe one day I will have to steel my dads 30 and try it out
