We are not running out of gas, they say that so they can charge up gas prices. The gas companies do the same thing the diamond companies do. Diamond companies have ware houses full of diamonds, but they only release a pre set number of diamonds each year to keep prices high. If they released all the diamond the price would drop cause there would be more supply then demand.

The gas companies only pull out so much gas every day do they can keep prices high, and cause prices are high they can charge even more cause "it costs them more" to transport and processing the gas.... There is a demand for gas, but if they can make "greater" demand they can charge more. This is part of the reason gas prices are high.

Well hopefully the reaction would be to get gas prices to drop a bit. If there were a prolonged gas "protest" it could cause the gas companies to fall, putting thousands of people out of work, among other problems that would be in the "wake".

One day is not enough to hurt the gas companies to a dangerous point. The gas companies thinks they are untouchable cause not matter what there is always a demand for it. A big part of this "protest" is to prove the point we also have a great influence on prices, and there profits.

Stock market work partly by people guessing weather prices will increase or drop... gas is one stock that is almost always stable or increasing as you all have noticed, so one day of it droping in price will put a wrench in the stock market, for a bit, hope that made sence

Have a look at this it explains why it doesn't work and it's just more spam.
