misfire

ok... i drive a 1990 samurai with the 13oo cc motor its tbi, ive had it for a few months then it started to making a popping noise like a backfire only when i accelerated but not all the time, ive done timing, i dont have vaccum leaks the plugs cap and wires are fine, my valves are to spec and yet it still does it i cant figure it out, if any one has imput i would be happy to hear it thanks

have you checked for holes in your exhaust line or in the cat?? i had that problem at one point. super easy fix

only does it when i accelerate and i dont have a cat, it jerks my truck when it pops, a guy said i could be leaning out and i could have a leak in my intake manifold gasket?

check the rotor, super rare but sometimes the rivet comes loose on the metal tab.
