Ive never driven a car with a spool, but I love my lockrite, behaves so well on the street and is GREAT offroad. I would put a spool in a trailer queen, but not a daily driver.

I have welded the rear of my sidekick (same as if you had a spool) and use it as a daily. You can notice the diffrence when turning a corner can hear the inside tire slip so will wear the tires out a bit faster but made a huge difference on the trails.
