shity gas milage

Hey i got a 94 f150 with a brand new rebuilt 4.9 in it and i get like 260 km a tank and it is about a 49 litre tank. I went on the net and used a gas milage calculator and it says about 18.8km/100L which is pretty shity. My dad had the same truck but 2 wheel drive and he said he got way better milage then that. Anyone got any ideas on what makes me have shity gas milage?

Have you tried checking the air filter, fuel filter, My bronco likes to drink gas when those get dirty, my milage almost gets cut in half. Also are you only driving it around town? because that will kill your miliage there to, speeding up and slowing down all the time, I only get 200-300 km to a tank(100L) sometimes when im only doing short 3-4 km trips back and forth to work 2 or 3 times a day.

My hubby's bronco gets 250km on an 80 litre tank, you're not doing too bad to get that on a 49 litre tank. I'd say you're getting pretty decent mileage
