Ive had 3 brand new Hondas and they are OK and GREAT for resale.
I just bought a 07-650 Arctic Cat and its as good or better than my Hondas.
Cats got a better ride and seems stable on hillsides.

Yamaha 660...great all around quad.

or something gnarly fast...the yamaha YZF450.
I'm not biased on yammys..just actually ridden a few and these stand out as ones i would consider.

go with anyof the big 3 yamaha, kawaski, honda. Polaris suck. I had one and know people that have them......if you buy one make sure u have a strap for ur buddy to pull u back to ur truck.

On another note , go big ....600 and above.

I got a 04 700kawi and i love it. best quad out of around 8 that i ve had.

I fix quads... say no to polaris... it could save your life, or your sanity. Go japanese. kawi's good but tend to use belts if you have big tires. honda's good but I still don't like the electric shift. whattya do if it breaks in the middle of nowhere. yamahas seem to be pretty damn good haven't found any problems with em unless you have to get at the motor. I still haven't found anything wrong with suzukis. Of course it all depends on how it's maintained, anything can be turned into a pile of shit with the right idiot on it

There isn't a really bad quad out there nowadays. They all have their flaws.
I'd pick Yammy, Honda, Kawasaki/Suzuki, Canam, Cat and Polaris in that order.

go for the can-am 650 they are the most expensive but you get the 4 year warranty on pretty much everything (Except for getting stuck in quicksand past the tires and blowing holes in the front rims, not that I'd know anything about that) They haul ass too and their visco-lok 4wd is pretty sweet. I've taken my dads 650 through lots of deep mud and water and the only problem i've had is water getting into the belt drive, so im gonna rig up an extended breather hose up higher. But then again I drive it like its a boat or swamp donkey.

yes ive gone for rips on the yamahas and hondas and the arctic cat but it had tracks so that threw my judgement. the can-am 650 was just breif blast to feel its power which really impressed me, the yamahas i would agree ive never heard anything bad bout them, and like i said ive always liked honda.guess i need to wait and hear bout that can-am and how it performs, besides it come with a 3 year warrenty free winch, comes with the agressive tires and 800$ instore credit.i can already hear the buzz of my new chainsaw.anyone hear if can-am is a worthy product or should be left in the show room.
