I've always lived fairly high up, and not in stupid places high up like on Mary Hill, hehe.

What is really cool about our place is that we don't flood, AND during the summer we don't run out of water. (something you city dwellers don't know about)

wait till summer and then sell it, people will buy anything these days it seems as long as it is even remotely shaped like a house.

Same Deal here, we're covered. The only thing we're not covered by earthquake, but we could be for an extra 100 bux a month..
This house also has been lifted to above flood plain and all crawlspace is covered in crete. Yard and garage would be gone fast tho, and i could use a new garage anyways, . We have , water to last.

I will not pity any moron that doesnt prepare for this shit, we've had lots of notice.

Good luck anyone in the flood plain.

all you need to stock is beer and cigarettes. with that you can barter for anything you need, if your own space is limited or lack imagination of what you should be stocking. ha

Guess what i heard today.

they are so concerned about a major flood in Dichmond and major enough that it would destroy or sink them that they made a choice,What there back up plan is...

If the flooding gets too bad out there they have decided to knock down the dikes on the matsqui flood plains and fill er up.I might have beach front property after all. Before you start saying i am full of shit i need to disclose that this is only second hand information given to me from a abby city official so take it how you want to.

I have seen a map of the predicted flooded area for the matsqui flats. It extends to clayburn village.

we had our flod prep meeting today for all the langley muni worker's..

pretty dismal outlook..

langley's lucky we have very little "protected" land to worry about...

but if the mission gauge hit's the 24 or 25foot mark... were fucked... not many of you would even remeber it ever coming that high....that was back in 48.

the valley was devasted.

we have a plan to recruit voulnteer's you name it.

the last time they've beent his scared was in 99 i belive... but it turned into nothing.

today we started stock piking rip rap and organizing a way to get our sand out of one the pit's that will flood.

i'm sure that if the langley dykes hold... we'll be taking our equipment somewhere else to help....

i'll keep you guy's posted when i get some more literature.
