MOVING: Ranch Burns Lake

Well I am moving I am taking over a butcher shop, and buying 320 acres with my family We are getting into raising natural/organic meats including chickens, turkey, pork, beef, bison, ducks, lamb. Also guest ranching and retreats, and outfitting horseback pack trips (for you hunters). Where 40miles in on logging roads, middle of "no where", no Power or Runing water. Anyways heres some pics... had to share I am so EXCITED

Heres a few pics of it in the summer

The Moose Swamp

One of the Cabins

Moose Swamp in the winter (Notice the tracks )

This is on the other side of Burns lake, we catch a ferry that takes 20mins, or if we wanted to drive around the lake taking up to 2 hours

Driving up to the ranch on the logging road

You can see the river that runs though the front of the ranch in the back ground

The Main Ranch area.... a barn, few cabins, shop, and fencing (most of these building are getting replaced)

my parents are north east of burns lake in Granisle.
You must be going to the Southbank. I havent been west of Burns lake, but Francois and the Ootsa lakes are supposed to be decent for fishing. Undoubtedly there is a tonne of 4x4ing up there, all the old logging roads and skid trails.

I grew up in the yukon on a farm with out power or running water for 14 years.... its not hard just have to be set up for it.

Just got a 6000watt diesel generator (one of a few well will have, and since we have farm status we get cheap fuel) and were also going to run wind generators and solar panels.

Since I wont have TV.... and only satellite phone and internet (billed by the min).

The only thing that takes power are my lights, fridge, washer/dryer (propane stove, wood heat)

The lights and fridges will run off a inverter with batteries that are charged by solar panles. Once a week we'll have movie night, and run our 52" TV and watch a movie, and same goes for landry.
