90 Samurai HIGH idle when cold

idles really high when cold then goes up and down and when its warm its fin....any ideas?? thnx

That's probably cause your choke is out of addjustment. If your at the coast, this might be the first time in years your choke has bin needed.

probably normal, depending on what "really high" is. My 91 sidekick idles at about 2000rpm for about 5 minutes till it warms up, thats only in the winter.

..... mine did that as well, look on the net there is a way to adjust it so it doesnt idle so high for as long. The proper way involves bending a piece on the carb, cant remeber exactly.

the sammy is a 1.3 fuel injected...i dont have a tach but it sounds liek its idling crazy high

sound normal to me has it always done it when it is real cold out side??
it is probably a warm up cycle in the computer

my 88.5 always idled at 2500 or so when it was warming up, then came down to what it was usually set round 1000 rpms. hook up a tach and see what its doing. If ya need any help shoot me an email : redwingfan_Number19@yahoo.ca
