What is the regulation about hunting from a FRS road. I know you can't hunt off at main road.

It is the distance needed from the centerline . I think it is pg 13 in the regs and section 31 of the wildlife act as it pertains to this But i will have to double check

or on the vehicle (hood, back of truck etc) if you are to follow the letter you could be cited for either and then the crown gets to decided (If i recall the wildlife act & hunting priviledge, forestry, etc and the enforcment of said rules and regulations dont follow the same judicial line as CC of C charges )

Roy I would be curious to hear exactly what charges have been laid, the penalties levied and from which acts .

are you able to let me know?

I would say if you got caught there you would get whatever the penalty is. I mean if your gonna shoot the gun off maybe make an attempt to pick up some of the larger casings if they are in a pile below you, everyone does their own small part that place could be less of a shithole.

I agree with the picking up of casings . and not leaving it a shithole. Heck i dont even like to go to the bush just to shoot I actually much prefer a range . I normally shoot to practice my skills , work up a load , testing etc. I dont shoot for the sake of shooting or hearing a loud bang .

does the increased manpower also have anything to do with the elk transplanted to the Stave area? or the new ones they are transplanting this year?

I just heard about that when I was at the meeting, cool that there is Elk up there! Yes I am sure that it does. There are some neat animals in that area, bobcat, lynx, rainier (yes thats right, the guy that has lived there forever he saw a group of them on one of the steep slopes he was hiking! )

What are Rainier? ( Rangier ?) you dont suppose he meant Reindeer (Rangifer Taranus) which would be commonly known as Caribou in NA . It would be pretty neat if there was a breeding population.

Personally I would say the days of the Redneck are numbered.
It has been said that this part of the lower mainland is leaning towards a North Vancouver type policy in regards to its natural resources and desired/projected demographics. .

When is the next meeting?
