I've been looking at getting a plane for a while, but there's not to many hobby stores out this way...none where I live anymore. I found a cool little starter plane at Walmart, but I didn't pick it up at the time, and now it's not there.
I don't know where you are, probably somewhere in the shuswap. There's a nice hobby store in abby that has lots of that stuff - BUT check out ebay - there's lots of guys selling TONS of stuff on there.
The only RC i've ever been into has been xmods - a 1:28th scale race car. Really fun, small so you can rip it around in the house and you can mod it up with mostly aftermarket stuff so you can get it to run around 40mph.
i've got everything, planes = from a 1/4 scale extra 300 with a 40cc chainsaw engine to small electic planes, a modded txt-1 rockcrawler, pirate 10 car with the 2 speed tranny, clocked at about 60kph, and a sail boat
heres my r/c contribution i have a bunch but heres a couple of my favorites
Lots of pics!!
if u wanna know bout any of them ill tell u any info u need feel free to ask. enjoy the pics!! and all are running R/Cs
