Teen Injured near Davis

I was reading the Province this morning and read this article ....

An Abbotsford teen is recovering in hospital with serious leg and back injuries after plunging more than 12 meters down a waterfall near Davis Lake in Mission.
"It was just a total accident" said Mission RCMP Cpl. Kevin Page. "He was trying to cross over the falls. He got on to a slippery portion and he fell down about 40 feet. He's got extensive injuries to both his legs, he fractured both his heels and significant back injuries."
The 18-yr. old was hiking with his girlfriend and other friends when the mishap occurred Saturday. " Ropes were repelled down and search and rescue did an extraction," said Page. He was air lifted to hospital.

Just wondering if ayone was up there or know more about what may have happend??? Shitty way to end a summer .... poor kid

Mission SAR had three calls in the Davis Lk area in the past week. Two at McDonald falls (which is the one in the article) and one at Cascade Falls. Dangerous places to be.
