I walk in from work and I was truly sickened and shocked by what I had just read. If this is our "chilly" Then yes, he will be missed and mourned by many. I spent some time with him during our first trip up in the Durango... true to form he wouldn't leave us behind.

------------------------------------

<center>For "Chilly"</center>

It is said that "God protects drunks and spudspudspudspudspud". To me, Chilly seemed like neither,I suppose the man upstairs agreed and needed our buddy for a higher purpose and decided to take him while he was doing something he truly loved.

Mourn by remembering our friend, remember the quick smile and willingness to help. Remember the good. Miss him as you will. Do not be sad for our brother, he is with his God. My prayers and the prayers of our family go out to Steve's family in this dark hour.

I read somewhere that the truest measure of a man is the number of people that will mourn his passing.....It seems obvious that Chilly was one of the good ones. Good bye my friend.....

I know that as soon as anyone has confirmation of this, that it will hit home even harder. I never knew Chilliwack but Todd did and he's shocked and saddened. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

this is off thr rcmp website

Upper Fraser Valley RCMP
Agassiz, BC

On January 1st 2006 shortly after 8 a.m. the Chilliwack RCMP received a complaint of a single vehicle crash. A sport utility vehicle had been travelling south along the east side of Harrison Lake at approximately the 28 km mark last night(New Years Eve)at about 8 p.m. when the vehicle left the road way and tumbled 200 feet down an embankment. Both males occupants of the vehicle were ejected. One of the males was able to make it back up to the roadway and wondered throughout the night until he was picked up by a good samaritan and given a ride to Chilliwack General Hospital. The RCMP and Agassiz Search and Rescue attended the area and were able to locate the vehicle.

The second male, a 32 year old Chilliwack male was located deceased at the scene. The name of the deceased is not being released at this time.

The male who was transported to Chilliwack General Hospital is a 19 year old resident of Chilliwack. He sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the RCMP and Coroner's Service.
