Noon News Hour stated maybe Friday, but highly unlikely, it's more looking like MAYBE next week.

There picket is starting to fall. Some teachers have been crossing the picket lines.

if you count the hours worked and the yearly salery they are fairly well paid per hour. and to top it off they have benifits the are better then the avg person. now before someone says "well you have to look at the yearly wage not the hours worked" I say that they are free to get extra work during the breaks like every other seasonal worker out there . They knew that the time between work was already be in place long before they decided to be teachers.

It's not just about the money. All schools across the province are over-crowded and kids who need extra help aren't getting it. So, to me it's not just about a pay raise.

if it was just about class sizes they would have more support
35 kids in one class is too many

but they don't need more money
They can wait till June/July like the government promised. If the government doesn't honor that, then strike.
thats my 3cents,
dam now i'm broke

i dont think a strike was fully neccasary, but i do see thier side.our son started a new fine arts school this year and they dont have half of the books they need.this is surly doin damage to many families who have a parent missing work and kids missing school, after all teachers took up the proffesion with kids in mind did they not.

used!
abused!
and usually accused!
