Just save yourself any hassle and get a toyota. Its compact enough to go most places the jeeps do and its still a truck. Very reliable and easy to work on.

if you dont want to drop lots of money into modifying it, id say a straight axle toyota, pre 85 it is i believe, or a suzuki with a spring over and 31's or so

well, i had planned o building up a killer truck, but if these models do not need much added to them, then alright. I want something strong and something that I do not have to worry about having to fix all the time.

I would have to say toyota. Cheep to run, easy to mod, on the newer ones lift kits are kinda expensive but still cheaper than a fullsize. I had a stock 93 toy 4x4 ex cab pickup and from the get go was wheeling on trails i wouldve never thought possible. I am sure to receive massive flameage for this but in the okanagan I would ALMOST say that IFS isnt bad[:0]

oh hell yea! get a toyota man. ive been on awesome trails but have had to turn around because of the retards with full sizes couldn't fit. blthough i dont think it is worth it to get a toyota above 85 because they dont have the solid axle. solid axle is cheaper to lift easier to work on and does not beark as easily as the stupid ifs. ifs is garbage unless you keep tire size below 33 and have minimal lift

Screw that, get a Dodge! Not enough of us out there, and Dodge 1/2 tons are the strongest 1/2 tons money can buy. 'Yotas are expensive to buy and expensive to fix.

Oh ya if you want one let me know. He has a few trucks built allready and are for sale if you want. He has some very cool rigs. Like a terra spring over on 35's locked both ends fuel injection I think on board air and a welder If I recall with a winch on the front and a reciever in the back!

sure everyone ends up putting chevy shit in their toyotas but what kind of stock vehicle can go further than a toyota? unless its a (and i hate to say this)jeep *shudder* on the second point..... did you say expensive? are you on coke? i paid 1300 for my 83 longbox and it was in really good shape motor redone and the whole works. but to each his own fuck everything else except toyota. oh yea and full sizes cant fit worth shit!
