underground adventures pt.33...standing in the spots of historic photos 100 + yrs old

its hard to explain the feeling of standing in a spot, that was the center of so much activity 100+ years ago...
and seeing what little is left of such amaizing feats of engineering.......
. the kns railway was one of those spots i always wanted to see
and standing at(payne bluffs)..1000ft up on a cliff
it was hard to imagine trains even rolled on those forgotten tracks. hanging from the trees and dangling on the cliffs..

..
n a lil shot of my off road glamping set up on the ferry in the kootenays

thanx guys....
it is truly a spectacular place to see....(if ur into that kinda thing)......
for some reason i get great satisfaction and inner peace visiting these almost forgotten and dissapeared places...
.i love finding hisory and have since i was a kido..
.spent a few of my childhood years ...travelling and listening to storyies around a campfire by the one and only Bill Barlee!!!.....he was an amaizing man!!!! and i can still remember his voice and stories he told me and how passionate he was about the history of this great place,,, i know its part of the reason i love it soo much,
its truly the one thing, exploring with my family that i enjoy the most in life!!!
and this was one of the stories i remember as a kido, was him looking for a supposed crashed train by the payne bluffs that was still lying there.....
.
he spent a long time looking for it....he never found it...it may not even exhist,,,,,but to me its amaizing retracing the steps of a story i was told as a kido, by one of the greatest storytellers there ever was.....

and since there is interest , ill share a few more pixx....

gold trrails n ghost towns is a great series.!!!!!!!..
he was a family friend when i was younger..
and i was lucky enough to be on a few of his adventures...and hear the stories from the man himself in person....
we join him when he was writing one of his early books....
.which he signed a copy n gave to me as a kido.
.although i didnt realize the significance of who he was back then..
( in the 80s).
.
