Stupid new Dodge

The problem with these new trucks is that they have too many dam computers in them.

The DEF fluid was low and my truck gave me a reminder to add more. ....so I did.(it was about a 1/4 left before emtpy) When I shut the truck off and restarted it, it now reads empty with a countdown to a 8km limp mode shutdown. I was able to get it to the dealer with 50km left.

They said it was a simple code they had to clear. That when I get the first warning it's too late and the truck will shut down and the code will have to be cleared.....what the fuck? If I refill the DEF like refilling your fuel it should NOT shut your truck off

The 2nd strange problem I have with this truck.

I have to start it using a jumper wire from the starter to the battery. The dealer was stumped as to the cause. Today they figured it out. It was a battery problem.

Even though the battery was fully charged it had slightly lower amps and that was enough for the computer to shut the truck down not allowing it to start.

Yea right but fires right up with a jumper wire
Better keep a piece of wire handy and know where to hook it to
Sounds more like lets throw parts at it oh it starts fixed give it back hopefully it last till out of warranty

Hyndia has similar issue turns over bit won't start because the computer doesn't have the volts.

Older starts making volts right away but it seems the newer stuff needs the computer to tell it to make volts

Buddies truck said it needed to go into regeneration mode when he was hunting way in the bush. Dealer told him to bring it up to highway speeds. Pretty hard to do on an fsr with camper. Went into limp mode. Eventually he got it to go into regeneration loading it up a hill 4 low
