no deer but had a fun day out anyways hiking in the rain
headed out after work at about 1130pm
setup camp about 3am
fire and beers till 430am
slept for 1 hr then breaky at 530am (MM bacon egg and cheese on english muffins)
drove around and realized quickly we were not the only ones in the area hunting so we set off and hiked about 6km up a valley, saw some older poop but nothing else.
had some fun on old "roads", missed out on 2 grouse. turning around was interesting
had some lunch and got ready for the next hike
hiked for about 3 hours pretty much straight up, gained 3000ft altitude. we were pretty tired so we turned around and headed back. lots of cool waterfalls and sketchy crossings( i dont like heights and legs were shaky)
headed home around 6pm and passed out. was a loong day.
