I didnt think it was to much to change but ive never had to do it on any of my vehicles before. i posted in here by accident.
I honestly dont know, been trying to find that out if others will work.

I did mine once, did it on my trailer. Got to Sylvester started jeep, turned the wheel and heard a lot of grinding and breaking coming from steering colum followed by horn continuously going off and turn signals not shutting off. Opened hood ripped horn out and pulled flasher relay, carried on like nothing happened for a couple more years

I think your talking about the directional switch in the steering wheel Jj,
The ignition switch, buy it new, why drop the column and do all that shit just to put a pos old switch in?

Yeah but that was because I took apart my whole colum to replace my ignition cylinder

And its in the key not in the whole column

Couple bolts and its easy access. Pull the tumblers an the rest is easy. Switched mine in 10mins
