thats the least of ur worries to stop that thing from gettin broken into...
there a flaw in the design of the locks and theives know it....

its easier than u think even if u disable that feature....if u can dissable it....
just takes a flat head into the lock....
then angle it down dont even have to turn it ,
just angle it down and ur lock pops up as u pull the outside handle....
a serious flaw in the design on those rangers...

(have 2 family members that thave 04 and 06 rangers had it happen to both... same way......

id say get an alarm....... . might not stop em totally but is a good deterrant and then atleast u can hear if and when they get into it...

.
.my 2 pennys worth

Don't leave anything in your truck.
If you have a stereo, read the fine print on the ICBC policy plan.
Put an alarm on it.
Then convince yourself you tried to prevent theft.

Thieves are pieces of shit.

We've had a lady's work truck in at work its been broken into three times
Well attempted 1 and succeeded 2 In a week
We screwed the side doors on the canopy closed they bent the crap out of them but didn't get in we fixed them and bolted them shut
The tried again on both side doors and then destroyed the rear doors to get in
Got a vac cleaner and got caught
fine court system we have he's out no charges

If they don't get in with the coat hanger and they want In they are just gonna smash the window...

Now ya have a deductible to pay ( coat hanger better option In that case )

Or just leave nothing in truck and leave unlocked that way they don't have to smash or scratch it with there tools

Fkn thieves if they want it they will get it

leave nothing in truck, get an alarm. Why worry too much about what "could" happen?
