96 cummins starter plunger/contact points

so since i bought my truck it always was hit and miss on firing right up. couple bumps of the starter here and there and it would fire right up, or it would start first try. anyway i was tired of doing this so i orderd up the starter plunger/contact kit from genos garage. shipped all said and done was around 35 bucks. anyway heres some pics of the job, took about 20 min to take the starter out and slap in the new pieces.

starter

new plunger and contacts

old contact worn right out, compared to the new one. would explain the hey im going to randomly take 5min to start for you problem

installed

she fires right up now so if any of you guys with the 2nd gen cummins start having starting problems, wouldnt hurt to check that first.
