93 dodge

found a 93 cummins . so far im really interested and thinkin bout givin the guy a offer. but im wondering if theres anyhitng i should look for and things i need to know that i dont know already. i know bout the dowel and most comin things . tranny is strong but im upgrading it right away. its a 250

It rides rough... That`s it....

mine went through sending units for the speedometer fairly often.
The rear ABS had a unit on the frame rail above the rear axel. You need to know this if you bleed your rear brakes. (although I think it was also a source of the weak rear brakes)
cowl cracks. If it has been "wheeled" any the cab will be cracked above the door hinges on the rounded part. Could be a source of leaks in the cab.

they are a nice truck. If i needed a work horse thats what i would get. the autos are weak but sounds like you know that

its a yankee truck, body and everything is solid. great lines and all real clean. it does wander it bit but i had a 98 that did the same thing. needs a tailgate tho.

It has a real front end in it cookie no unit bearings
Leaf springs so cheap to lift and maintain
And is one of the best trucks for milage

the only bad about them is tge trans and put a gov spring in the pump makes it way more drivable on the hwy allows u to pass

the hunt is over i went chev dually. found a 97 with 215k . nice clean truck and has a power train warrenty. great truck for what i need it to do

its not a bad truck. got 2yr warrenty with it bumper to bumper. itll serve the purpose i need it for. best of all is no payments. untill i get sick of the chev and go back to a dodge.. but its camper ready and good to haul my shit around
