Off road insurance?

Is there anyway to insure my truck for off road use only it has a vi on it but I trailer it to and from the trail just trying to protect my ass I was thinking of maybe the quad/dirt bike insurance? Like with trailer rigs is there anyway of getting insurance were going to do the whipsaw this weekend and will probably run into cops from what I hear! Just trying to avoid a situation before it happens!

Cheers adam

Trust me on this as I went through many ways to get this to work but never did,

You have an outstanding V.I. because of that you are screwed.

End of story

I had the same thing, outstanding V.I. means no permits, no insurance not even off road liability. I went from one insurance place to another, even was told if the issuing officer was to lift the V.I. I could get Liability insurance, cops told me we can't do that. Talked to Department of motor vechicles in Victoria telling them this is a bush truck and will only ever be a trailered bushtruck, was told the only way to get the V.I. lifted was to have it inspected. Was then told by someone if I removed all vins and classified it as a home built buggy I could get it. But then was told if anything happened and it was traced back as being my cherokee(which it still somewhat resembled) my insurance would be void.

So take chances, get it inspected or scrap it.

Or if you get lucky you can get the right insurance person that will mess up and not realize there is a V.I. then your kind of good to go.

Good luck and happy scrapping

If no V.I., yes you can get liability insurance for off-road use only. It's cheap
