Salsberry

When did they deactivate the road to salsberry , was suposto go camping there on Friday but we ended up having to go to east stave because they dug the road out just before the bridge on ur way to salsberry , bridge is in pritty rough shape though kind of thinking that's why they did it

Anyone have some more info on this situation , this may have already been posted but I must have missed it

Yea there's a deep ditch dug right before the bridge and concreat baracades on the bridge , looks like the quadders are getting by it , could be doable with a truck if the barecades where moved , the one guardrail on the bridge is rotton and broken right off the bridge

Compleatly messed up my plans

A forestry company deactivated that bridge and removed another beyond this one.

I asked the ministry about it and was told that it probably wouldn't be reactivated any time soon.

I was told by a friend who's sister works for the ministry.. She was saying that this would happen, that in the next 5 years or so, they will be attempting to shut down everything West of Harrison - PFFFFFT like that would actually happen. BUT I heard that they would be decommissioning roads one by one, slowly pushing us out.

I forget if its Salsbury or Kenyon, but a little while back BC Hydro was planning on making one of the lakes a hydro lake, raising the water level 6 feet and running a tube down to Stave. It would make sense with the extra hydro lines going in around Rolley Lake.

i dont think it would be salsbury, 6 feet of water would be coming down the mainroad, unless they are going to build up the sides a bit

Building up the sides, then they were going to turn it into a camp ground. This was from when I sat in on meetings with BC Parks about 4 years ago. But like I said, i dont know if its for Salsbury or Kenyon, i forget.
