Not so Epic but still part of the adventure

These are the battle wounds.

The PTO jumped into gear unexpectedly. I've since learned that this is not uncommon for these trucks.
the problem......I really shit the bed here. The winch I have installed currently (destroyed) did not have a drum locking pin installed. So in free wheel the spool would unravel on the drum. So I kept the winch locked into the PTO via bumper handle. BIG MISTAKE, this is a big no no. I never thought the PTO would engage with out warning. There are three fail safes to prevent this from happening. Handle lock on the floor, Engage-disengage on the bumper, and a shear pin. Not only did I shit the bed......but I shit my pants on the way to school. I never checked what was installed by the previous owner. BIG MISTAKE #2, postmortem investigation revealed a roll pin. The real shitty kick in the pants here is I have a bag of the proper shear pins.

At HQ. down in motor pool, she is backed into the trauma bay refusing any assitance.

This is the spare winch case that rolled around in the back of the deuce when I bought. Thankful I kept it around. Also this is the start of the upgrade to MK.5 designation.
-brake adjust and inspection
-Oil leak (engine)
-New winch install with full rebuild
-Head gasket forward 3 cylinders.
-Redesign mud flaps (quick release system)
-Air assist steering
-Air shift T-case
-Rear diff venting
-Filter change (all around)
-in tank fuel lift pump (replacement)

Possible additions:
I may measure up for some under body armor, I'll use the CNC at work to burn them out and form them on the break press. And the possibility of moving the fuel tank in to the bed of the truck.

I also have 2 tires that have perma-dirt lodged in the bead. So they need to be pulled and reset.
