I drive almost every Friday to work, Walmart, friends houses, Home Depot, etc
Been on a few long hauls Merritt, Larson, whipsaw.
It's handled everything with ease and is not too bad on fuel.
Down side is maintenance. The truck is labour intensive, tasks often involve plenty of grease, oil, heavy tools, and heavy parts.
The tire rim combo is about 400+lbs per. Brake drum about 75-80 lbs
I've had these axles apart countless times.
To make repairs in the field it requires a man to get ancient Egyptian on this shit. I'm prepared

you need to drive that thing around denman and davie on a sunday afternoon sometime. my brother was getting blocked by cyclists in his lifted 3500 dodge last week, i'd like to see what they would try with you.

if you ever decide to do that, let me know.

It's ok for short periods without hearing protection. On the free way or low range it's a must. No cab insulation, no muffler..... heat, noise, vibrations, just part of the deal. Not a whole lot of comfort, put in new seats thats about it. I've taken the function route so far. I think now I will focus on developing a power steering solution. I deserve it.

..........I might buy a 150 million candle power surplus military battle field illuminating light. It mounts in the bed on a tri pod. It can put a 1/4 mile diameter circle at three miles. Draws a 140 amps.

Search light with shipping $1000
Air assist steering $1800+shipping

I'm thinking I might deal with the non power steering for awhile longer. Maybe work more overtime too
