th400 to nv4500 swap

anyone swapped a nv 4500 into a 80s chev truck? gonna throw a nv4500 into it. its was a th400. have 86 pedals for hydro clutch, have manual steering column. anyone know what years 4500 will work?

any help is apprecited. also looking for the 4500!

correct me if im wrong but i believe the spline count on your t-case is different than whats on the NV4500, somethin to think about aswell

your th400 205 will work cause if you get a chevy nv4500 you have a 32 spline input on your case, unless you get a dodge which will have a 29 spline output shaft then you will need to get a dodge np205 input for your case. Im always rebuilding these nv4500's im building one right now for my rig ill keep an eye open and i do sell my rebuilt ones for 1300$ which is less by about 500 - 800$ for rebuilt from other places. look for a 93-94 nv4500 chevy since they have a great 6.32 bull low or you can go newer 95+ which have a 5.38 bull low but they all are syncro'd and just a great tranny in my opinion but they are heavy 200lbs empty!!! and they take expensive GM syncromesh fluid which is like 25$ a litre
