Nissan Pathy won't start

Hey guys I got a question went to go start my pathfinder (3.0L automatic 1993) just now to go to the store... It turns over but won't start. Lots of power in the yellow Optima to crank it, starter seems to be working as it is turning over.

Gonna take another vehicle to store tonight but am looking for some ideas while I'm out so I can fuck around with it tomorrow. Gonna check distributor and plugs etc...

Gonna read my Nissan book tonight too.

Just looking for possible things it could be so I got something to go on tomorrow.

Cheers

There's a main manifold ground on the top of the intake, make sure it's plugged in otherwise, you will have said problem.

Check the fuel pump, check the coil, rotor, distributor cap, maybe something as lame as the MAF. My pathy used to do such weird things during change of weather or seasons. Turned out it just needed a couple what the f***s from my foot and she fixed herself

Check to make sure your fuel pump is working, then check for fuel at the rail, check spark, if you have fuel and spark check if u don't to either u got a bad/rotted ground or your fuel pump finally shit the bed

It's currently running right now actually after the suggestion of smacking fuel tank with a mallet.. well alot, show that truck not to run ...

Could of just been dumb luck though. I imagine the rotor in the distributor must be turning though since its running now... so if the mallet trick worked what is it..? fuel pump? just shitty sediment clogging stuff up?

Gonna go check for the ground yoda604 was talking about as well ... I also have a spare MAF if it turns out to be that but its not looking like it cause its idling fine now that its going...

You already tested the fuel pump
It wasn't working you beat the tank it works
fuel pump is on its way out
Life of a pump has lots of variables
Biggest being running below 1/4 tank all the time
Fuel filter not being changed ever
Put a pump in it or its Going to strand you
