(HELP) Importing my CJ

I know this has been hashed 1000 times but!!
I need to bring back the cj. It is well over the 15 years and has clear title and bill of sale in the us. It has no motor or trans and has a hell of a lift. I will not be registering it in can (off road only) What hoops do I have to do to get it back home? Do i have to do the 72 hr @ the us border or just show up at can customs? All help is appreciated.

I think you can bring it back as parts only since its missing all that stuff and never will be registered. For that I don't think you need to give 72 hr notice

maybe look through or contact someone through the Canada Border Services Agency : http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publicati...f5048-eng.html

maybe they'll have some information? unless you have to go through the U.S one :S

You might be able to import it as antique car parts that way you won't have to pay duty on it. Just an idea

You can bring it back as parts only. I have done it in the past. Just had to be a bit creative, telling them it was not a vehicle. No engine , transmision, It doesn't drive, and so no. They derigistered a blazer I brought back.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I went down on Thursday and came back Monday. Faxed the boarder with all the info and made a run of it.
The US side stamped my paperwork in about 1 min and never even looked at the truck. Canada customs was all interested because he is a jeep nut. They decided that we were down long enough and waved any fees. The total cost to import was $4.96. The inspector saw the Washington state collector plates and did not even look at the truck. The wheel base is stretched, 14 inches of lift, and full size axles. I guess we got lucky!! Let the build begin!!!!!!!!
