I highly recommend this to anyone with an xj as the stock headlamps suck, and are very yellow and dim. Even with a stock style superstar or nighthawk in there they still aren't very good. I updraged to vision x h4 housings and piaa superwhites about a year ago they were better, whiter but still not intense. I found several h4 upgrade wiring kits from several places, but they all appear to be exactly the same kit like this : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NEW-APC-UNIVE...item43ad4468e5
The install was simple like 20 minutes, I opted to add 2x 12g inline fuse holders with 30amp fuses instead of the fusible link the kit came with. the only tools I needed was a phillips screwdriver to pull the headlamp surrounds and healamps out, and a drill and two self tappers for the two ground wires near the headlights.
WOW What a hugely insane differance, no joke twice as bright and shoot as far as my hid offroad lamps, I can actually see on low beam! Lots of nice crisp white light! now to properly aim them now they shine as far as they should I can tell how out of aim they are.
From doing a little reading and research this will greatly improve stock lamps as well as upgraded, so this is a huge upgrade for as cheap as it is! I should have taken before and after pictures. I can still get some nightime shots and post them up!
