Glad no one got hurt, but I am concerned with what damage may have occurred to the fish in the river. This is more of an environmental crisis than people may realize. Hundreds of fish may have been killed or injured in this accident. This alone could set fish stock renewal back years, or perhaps decades in the Fraser River. At the very minimum the transportation minister should resign over this and a full public enquiry held.

What a fucken The big salmon runs have already happened... we all know that... cuz we all saw and heard about it! There's maybe a few of the last adult Chinook salmon heading up the river for the winter run, that's it... and some fry/smolts heading down the Fraser River to the ocean... and the one or two sturgeon in that area (if you're lucky). But I highly doubt hundreds got smushed and killed... maybe a few fish but not hundreds.

This guy really needs to shut his mouth if he doesn't know what he is talking about... he looks like an idiot. And he's worried about a slab of concrete going into the river??? Think about all the other shit that's down there... HELLO!!!

Fucken people...

don't forget about the deceleration as the concrete hit the water. the impact with the surface would have taken most of the impact. and then decelerate as it sinks in the river.

the concussion of the impact killed a lot of fish, which floated to the surface, now the Indians down river are having a BBQ
