1970 jeep cj5 gas tank

Im tryin to find a place that sells replacement gas tanks for these old kaiser jeeps.

I finally found a jeep but it wont start, it olny runs when there is fuel in the carb, so its gotta be either somthing is plugged in the line or in the fuel pump.
I was told that someone before had left the gas cap off for who knows how long wich cause the tank to rust inside.

thanks for the help.

Try Por-15 Gas Tank Repair Kit. Kms tools has it on sale right now for $75 buxs page 9 of their flyer. I'm doing the same to my CJ6 tank as I have seen it used in hot rod resto's before. Just clean the tank really well with compressed air, then rinse with water. Make sure it's nice and dry before the POR.

That's under frame tho if I'm right. Same as YJ tank but without electric pump. CJ5 and 6 are under the drivers ass Gonna depend on what year, but he did say Kaiser.
However any info is better than no info for others reading. Thanks for posting that.
Edit: Older cj5's I see. 78-86 cj5 and cj7 are the same tank. Still great info.

02trackerman here a link to a guy I have found invalueable in the early dreamdays of my build. http://boyink.com/cj6/gas-tank-installing-rear/
I've gone way out of the restoration thought process, so for you it would be great as he did the same to his CJ5
