It ran outta gas as i knocked it into second so I had to let out of it and save the fumes for pulling it in.

This evening I just swapped it up to better (for this build). In the next week or two I'll be headed to quesnel to trade that motor off for a 496bb vortec 8100

nice those motors make wicked marine motors very small power band all done at 4500 rpm weird heads and induction setup funky exhust manifold bolt pattern to its not like a normal bbc

they are not that much different
regular gm bbc valve covers fit as well as do headers
you can even run a bbc camshaft in them the fireing order is different
but easily changed8100_side.jpg

8100_rockers.jpgeven roller rockers from a bbc fit
with a stud thats metric thread into head and 7/16 for adjuster
but at least youre right about them being a torq monster

that bbc is still a waist of time i am a big block fan !!! i have a big block for all my cars but your 350 that is built will be way more fun then that crappy 496 any day of the week
