Talking May long fire ban? Are you kidding me?

Just received a bunch of text messages saying that there is going to be a fire ban starting Friday?. Anybody know anything all the gov't sites say campfires are ok, but could changed instantly. Anybody catch the news or know anything? Any insiders?

No campfire banns for the Mission Fire District that I know of the fire chief usually emails registered fire pit owners in advance and I have had no notification as of today.

I love to have fun in BC... But May long has gotten too crazy up here, so now it looks like they are crackin down on all the kids destroying stuff. They burned all the new picnic tables up at Harrison last year.

So unfortunately me and the fam will be camping in Washington State, on a beautiful lake with a beautiful fire. Would rather stay at a nice place in BC, but May long up here is pretty much toast

I heard this morning that the ban is only for within the city limits.... NOT any campgrounds yet!
