Thanks, now you got me going....
Early 70's my Dads bronco was sparkly like blue. It was called Snidley Whiplash, his number 232/D. Raced with Brian Faulkenberg from Cowichan Lake. Raced all over southern BC. He had 3/4 ton straight axle w\shortened tubes and trussed. Dual shocks all 4 corners and could jump it a couple feet in air no problem. Full 6 point cage. 302 balanced blueprinted with 5? ton delivery clutch for popping on the sand drags. Kept his tera tires at 30 psi rather low pressure. Guys with beadlocks (beads attached with metal screws from outside of rim edge) and 8 psi kept blowing u joints. He raced in 3 main eventsd I think: hill cimbs, obstacle race, and sand drags. BC champ one year in 70's. I think his club was called Cowichan Roamers and I still have the t-shirt he gave me when I was 5-7 with club logo name on it!! Now you know why I'm such a 4x4 junkie!
My Dad sold his Bronco to Mike? Spada in Enderby in early 80's. Mike jumped it constantly till frame busted in half and steering wheel ended up in his lap, yet he never got hurt. My Mom rolled it once on ice thus down bank between Armstrong and Enderby yet the 6 point cage kept her safe!!!
