Three 16-year-old's from Penticton are missing.
Penticton RCMP believe the three teens were doing some 4 by 4'ing in a blue Jeep Cherokee up on Black Mountain Road near Kelowna.
The two females and one male are believed to have been missing since the evening of Saturday April 16, says Penticton RCMP Cpl Shawna Barr.
However, RCMP were first alerted after one of the missing didn't show up for work.
"The boy, who has a cell phone, was able to text his employer Saturday night, saying he wasn't going to make his night shift. As a result of that the employer then called his mother Sunday morning to see how he was doing because he gave the impression that he was stuck," says Barr.
"They called just to make sure he was home safe and that is when the mother found out."
Barr says the family had been searching all day Sunday with no luck.
A helicopter search will be launched at daylight Monday, April 18.
"Black mountain Road"?? There isnt such a road
I went up Black Mtn just last week and had a hell of a time, the road was pretty soft and still quite a bit of snow; wouldnt surprise me if they're stuck. I might take a jonter up there later and take a look around, gives me a excuse to be up there
